The next game in the main SMT franchise came out today (July 16), so it's time to cast Recarm on this thread.
SMT4 casts you in the role of Flynn, a samurai who slays demons.
Well, mostly slays demons.
Because unlike in Persona 3 & 4, the main SMT games don't force to you rely solely on roulette games and fusions to get demons. In SMT4, you can use diplomacy on demons to recruit them to your army, which means that sometimes talking is a better option that whacking things with a sharp object.
Of course combat is still a big deal, and the turn-based style combined with the Press Turn mechanic will be the most familiar aspect to those of us who were introduced to the series by Persona.
Also, the Amazon preorder bonus is hilarious.
