People, in general, sound differently to one another.
This variation can come from a multitude of sources, but one of the more prominent and immediately noticeable of these is accent, that quality which differentiates at a stroke the American from the German, the Swede from the Aussie, or the Scot from the Brazilian.
On the internet we frequently communicate through text rather than sound, and sometimes it is nice to be able to imagine and remember the voice of a friend when you read their posts, so with that in mind I invite you all to have a good old natter in the direction of your nearest microphone and upload it to a suitable site.
Of great use, but somewhat questionable quality, is Vocaroo which will happily let you record and link your friends to that recording with a minimum of fuss.
Alternately (and perhaps more usefully for those who wish to have multiple tries at a recording or have limited bandwidth) you can record locally using a program such as Audacity and then upload to Soundcloud.
Of course, it would be thoroughly unfair of me to not include any audio with this particular OP, so I heartily recommend clicking here in order to listen to this entire post so that you don't have to strain your poor eyes.
