Last year's game of the year award winner (x90) is getting some DLC to tide us over while we wait for season two.

The action is set in and around a Georgia truck stop, and is set up like five short stories, each featuring their own playable characters. The stories span the first 400 days of the outbreak, and you can play them in any order (no word yet on whether actions taken in one story will impact the other stories, but it's not a completely unrealistic dream).
Your save from season one will affect how the DLC plays out, and choices from 400 Days (as well as season one) will carry over to season two.
400 Days will be launched in July, priced at $4.99, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, iOS and Mac, or bundled with Season 1 for Vita.
So yeah, this pretty much has me as excited for a piece of DLC as I've ever been. I mean, it's no horse armour, but it's close.
