Trailer Park Boys is a documentary series about the highs and lows of life in a Canadian trailer park.
Shot with unflinching realism, a courageous crew of documentary film makers spent years following the inhabitants of the trailer park, showing us the devastating effects a life of petty crime and alcoholism has on you and those around you.
We follow a wide range of people, but the focus is on three men in particular:
Julian – well-muscled, and the object of affection for many trailer park residents. Really knows how to hold his liqueur.
Ricky – family man who, while uneducated, has a real aptitude for working with plants. Tries to provide for his family.
Bubbles – childhood friend of Ricky and Julian. Is often caught up in Julian and Ricky’s schemes, and left holding the pieces when they are inevitably sent to jail. Likes model trains and kitties.
As mentioned, the documentary follows many other people as well – Randy, who struggles with a crippling addiction. Jim Lahey, who struggles with a crippling addiction. Jamie, a struggling rapper and entrepreneur. This is, if anything, a realistic look at the struggles of modern life. In a trailer park.
