Everyone has a picture of themselves in their head, which both is at odds with and informs the person that the world sees. I want this to be a thread to talk about and illuminate those things we see in ourselves. As an exercise, I made a sketch of myself without consulting a photo or mirror.
Stuff I'm self-conscious about, namely my nose, worry lines, and stubble, got emphasized, as did my cheek-bones and tilt of my eyes, two features I like about how I look.
So come on, SE++. Give it a shot. Sketch yourself, post it, and talk about what it says about how you see yourself.
