The Legend of Korra is an animated show that follows the newest Avatar and her adventures. As an Avatar, she is able to control all four elements and is charged with maintaining balance in the physical world and the spiritual world.
The first book (Air) is set in an 1920's era industrial melting pot of a city, called Republic City. The story revolves around the equality of benders versus non-benders when the charismatic leader, Amon, rises up with the idea, and the ability to, remove all bending from the world.
Cast:
Korra: She's the Avatar. You gotta deal with it.
Mako: Firebender. He's the team leader for the Fire Ferrets and Bolin's older brother.
Bolin: Earthbender. He's a nice guy.
Asami: Nonbender. Drives Well. Daughter of the disgraced head of the Future Industries.
Tenzin: Airbender. Son of the previous Avatar, mentor to the current Avatar.
Lin Bei-Fong: The Metallest Bender. Spider-Man and Wolverine put together. WolverLin Spider-Fong.
The Blu Ray, Soundtrack and Art Book are being released this month (link in the first picture) so everyone should go buy them. And then wait until next year for the new season to air.
