If you're a child who grew up in the 90s you might remember ABC's TGIF block, and in particular, the show Boy Meets World which centered around Corey Matthews and his family and friends and the highs and lows of growing up in suburbia: love, friendship, bullies, bullies who actually are really sensitive and write poetry and have a famous wrestler for a dad, etc. etc. By the end of the series, Corey had gone through college, gotten married, and moved to New York (from Philadelphia).
Now, fast forward 12 years after the series ended, there have been rumors of a sequel/spin-off series in the works. Those rumors have started to form into deals being signed: Ben Savage (Cory) and Danielle Fishel (Topanga) have signed on to reprise the roles of Corey and Topanga Matthews[/url] in Disney Channel's Girl Meets World, which will follow the point of view of their 13 year-old daughter Riley. The pilot is in the early stages with creator and executive producer of Boy Meets World Michael Jacobs (also known for My Two Dads and Charles in Charge) and they're currently on a "nationwide casting search" for the role of Riley.
Presumably other members of the original Boy Meets World cast will have cameos on the new show. I'm intrigued at the idea of catching up with these characters.
